Pastor Byron C. Hanspard, Sr. is a devoted servant of God and a proud native of Dallas, TX. Accepting Christ at a tender age, he has dedicated his life to fulfilling the will of God. Prior to his pastoral journey, Pastor Hanspard served honorably as a National Football Player for the Atlanta Falcons. In 2003, he returned to Dallas and became an active member of Faithful Missionary Baptist Church, where he began his ministry as a youth pastor and served alongside former Pastor N. C. Sargent.
 
After 21 years of service, Pastor Hanspard, along with his beloved wife Lady Yolanda Hanspard and their three sons—Byron Jr., Bryan, and Bryson—was elected as the new Pastor of Faithful Missionary Baptist Church. He is a passionate leader who genuinely loves God, His people, and His Word. His ministry is characterized by a commitment to preaching and teaching with power, conviction, and simplicity, ensuring that God’s message reaches everyone without compromise.
 
Pastor Hanspard has a special heart for the young, the elderly, and the unchurched. He believes the youth have so much to gain, the elderly has invaluable wisdom to share, and the unchurched are in urgent need of hope and salvation. His overarching desire is to guide others to a personal relationship with God, encouraging everyone to trust Him above all else.
 
In the spirit of his ministry, Pastor Hanspard echoes the words of the Prophet Jeremiah: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you, ordained you a Prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5; 29:11 NKJV). With a firm belief in the transformative power of faith, he invites everyone to embark on their own journey of knowing God
